Gina Harper

Gina began dancing at an early age.  She attended the Jen-Deb School of Dance in Enterprise, Alabama, from the age of 4 until her senior year of high school.  She took all forms of dance, including tap, ballet, jazz, pointe and acrobatics.  Gina participated on award winning dance competition teams from the age of 11 to 17, including a Dance Masters of America national dance competition in New York City in 1987, where her team won 1st place.  Gina started assistant teaching at the age of 14, and taught all forms of dance regularly through her senior year of high school.  She performed special numbers in many dance recitals, and also performed as Mr. Smee in Peter Pan, and Rooster in her dance studio’s version of Annie.  Gina now enjoys sharing her lifelong love of dance with others at the Putnam Dance Center.  She has been teaching a fun-filled dance fitness class, Zumba, at the PDC since July 2008.  She recently graduated from the Dental Hygiene Program at CCRI.  Gina is married to her loving husband, Scott and is the proud mother of Sarah, 11, and Megan, 7, who are performing in the show.  This is Gina’s 5th year teaching at The Putnam Dance Center.
