Maria Budzinski

Maria has been dancing locally for the past 27 years. Her dedication and
passion for the art led her to ten successful years in competition.
Competing both regionally and nationally all over the east coast Maria was
awarded numerous times for being a highest scoring soloist, a title winner
and especially recognized for her execution on stage.
Maria performed in two seasons for the WNBA’s Connecticut Sun and was
one of the original dancers for the Boston Celtics. In 2005, she began to
further her dance career as a Performing Arts major at Dean College.
During her time there Maria worked closely with Gyro Tonic Master Lisa
Pari, where she began intense training on body knowledge. Maria also
spent years working under world-renowned modern professor; Nailah
Randall-Bellinger, and also had the opportunity to work with Master Ballet
professor Jill Silverman, choreographer’s Wyett Jackson, Kelly Peters, Jay
T. Jenkins, and the Alvin Ailey Dance Company.
Maria danced for “Stylized Movement” in 2013, and has also
choreographed for local touring company “Shadows”. Maria continues to
further her education throughout the year attending Dance Masters of
America conventions where she is currently serving her first year on the
Board of Directors. She currently teaches Ballet, Modern, Contemporary,
Jazz, Tap and Hip Hop in Massachusetts and Connecticut for all levels.
Maria’s choreography has been recognized for its “creativity”, “emotional
concepts” “artistic innovation” and has most recently been awarded three
choreography awards.
Maria holds degrees in Performing Arts from Dean College, Acting for film
from New York Film Academy, Harvard and received high honors with a
Bachelors of Science in Sociology from Suffolk University in Boston.
Maria is the choreographer for Junior Miss Headliner 2015 and 2016, Teen
Miss Fierce Dance Challenge 2017 and had three contemporary and one
hip hop piece chosen to represent Team U.S.A in Germany 2016
